Raoul Van Hall

Host of Jazz from the Left

Raoul Van Hall is host of Jazz from the Left, which airs on the 4th Saturday of each month at 7:00 pm.   

Raoul has played jazz on the radio since 1973 and has hosted this incarnation of the program since 2009. Jazz from the Left originated on KMHD in Portland, and has since been broadcasting weekly on a number of radio stations in the U.S. including in Portland and Miami. There's also an "international" version broadcast four times per week to Europe, Latin American and Asia. Raoul also produces jazz programs for airlines in China and Thailand.

Born and raised in Amsterdam, Raoul first lived in Sonoma County in the late 1960's to early 1970's and returned to Sonoma County last summer to make a home in Healdsburg.
