Is the best way to eliminate pollutants from fireplaces to phase them out entirely? That’s what the Bay Area Air Quality Management District is proposing.
Also included in the proposed new air quality rules are additional restrictions on any wood burning on Spare the Air Days, limits on visible smoke, and a registration program for homes in which wood stoves are the only source of heat. You can read a summary of all the proposed new rules here.
