State health officials have unveiled the first television ads that will be part of the multi-million dollar marketing campaign for California's new health insurance marketplace. Called "Covered California" the marketplace or "exchange" represents a major step in the implementation of the federal Affordable Care Act, sometimes known as Obamacare. It will become fully operational next month. Two ads were released today, one in Spanish, and this, quite different spot in English.
The marketing campaign for Covered California will also include radio and digital ads, social media, and an updated website.
