Drought Resistance Underground

In times of drought, compost and mulch are your yard's best friends, says "Compost Crusader" Stephen Andrews.

Stephen Andrews is a professor of Earth and Planetary Science at the University of California, but his concentration is mainly terrestrial. He’s on Twitter as the compost crusader, and will be  talking to the Santa Rosa Garden Club this afternoon on “The State our Soils,” which in a word, is dry. Before hand, he also spoke with KRCB’s Bruce Robinson.

UC soils professor Stephen Andrews will also be talking about drought, soil and water in the backyard, at the meeting of the Milo Baker Chapter of the California Native Plant Society in Santa Rosa tomorrow evening.
