When the call for a blood drive goes out, there is one sizable group of willing donors who are routinely excluded. Gay men are prohibited from giving blood, due to a decades-old ban that is now being questioned. The National Gay Blood Drive is happening today in cities across the United States, including in Santa Rosa (at Positive Images, 312 Chinn Street near 4th and College). Hours are 12:30 to 4:30 this afternoon, and you can find further details here.
