Joan Baez recorded her first album in 1960. For almost sixty years her powerful voice and unwavering commitment to human rights have made her a force of nature. "Whistle Down the Wind" , produced by Grammy winner Joe Henry, continues the great tradition of Joan pairing with some of her favorite songwriters. Tom Waits and Kathleen Brennan, Josh Ritter and Mary Chapin Carpenter penned tunes for the release. The song "The President Sang Amazing Grace", written by Zoe Mulford, is alone worth the price of the CD. Joan has announced her 2018 concert tour will be her last.
