We've got a great line-up of in-studio guests this week:
Tuesday, June 2nd, 1 pm: Kasim Sulton. Despite a list of sideman and guest artist credits as long as your arm—he has worked with Utopia, Metaloaf, Joan Jett, Hall and Oates, Cheap Trick, Mick Jagger, Bon Jovie, Patti Smith, Blue Oyster Cult, and more—Kasim Sulton is arguably at his most potent when he's delivering his own music. and that's what you'll hear on air when Kasim Sulton chats with Doug Jayne on Tuesday afternoon before his upcoming performance in San Francisco at the Hotel Utah on June 2.
Thursday, May 28, Between 9am-noon: Hopmonk Impressario Bryan Hayes will bring in performers from their Singer/Songwriters in the Round series. Listen in the morning, then catch singers John Courage, Brindl, Kyle Martin, and Heather Van Cleve live at Hopmonk Sebastopol on Thursday night.
Saturday, May 30, 3pm-ish: Geoff Muldaur will be appear on Our Roots Are Showing this week, before his show at Sebastopol Community Center Saturday night. Geoff Muldaur is one of the great voices and musical forces to emerge from the folk, blues and folk-rock scenes centered in Cambridge, MA and Woodstock, NY. Though he's been flying under the radar for the last few years, Geoff is once again touring the world, with his magical voice and singular approach to American music. I'm particularly fond of Richard Thompson's praise for him: "There are only three white blues singers, and Geoff Muldaur is at least two of them.'"
