On Thursday, September 11th, around 10:18 pm, a Sebastopol Police officer tried to conduct a traffic stop on a motorcycle on Highway 12, east of Morris Street. The motorcycle fled eastbound on Highway 12, with Officers in pursuit for about 8 miles, at varying speeds.
The pursuit terminated at the intersection of Highway 12 at Farmers Lane, when the motorcycle collided with the back of a pickup truck stopped at the light.
Taken onto custody was Jebediah Scoggins, age 35, of Santa Rosa. He was taken by ambulance to Memorial Hospital for injuries sustained from the collision.
Further investigation revealed Scoggins had a suspended license and was on formal probation out of Sonoma County. He was arrested for evading police, driving with a suspended license, and violation of formal probation.
