Peeking Inside Distant Galaxies
New telescopes that employ particle conversion methods to create their images are giving scientists increasingly detailed pictures of the inner workings of distant galaxies. Today’s Exchange investigates how that works, and what is being discovered.
SSU Astronomy and Physics professor Lynn Cominsky will be speaking to the Oakmont Science Symposium on Thursday evening at 7, in their Berger Center Auditorium. The title of her talk is, "Blazing Galaxies, Exploding Start and Monstrous Black Holes: High-energy Visions of the Universe."
