Sonoma County 4-H Project Gets Local Kids Talking Turkey

Nov 20, 2016

For over a decade, Sonoma County 4-H and Slow Food Russian River's Heritage Turkey Project has been teaching local kids how to raise, butcher and sell Heritage Turkeys. KRCB’s Tiffany Camhi visited a budding turkey farmer at his Santa Rosa home to find out more.

Heritage turkeys are known for their distinct and variety of colors. The turkey pictured here is a Bourbon Red.
