Time in Mind on Something Completely Different, Tuesday at 7 pm

Jul 12, 2015

Being that July 14th is Bastille Day, I probably should have put together a show completely in French, or possibly one about revolution or the guillotine. But really...I might have had a lot of trouble finding 25-30 songs about beheadings. Instead, I started to look up famous quotations about time, and who first said them, and that nearly drove me crazy. "Tempus Fugit"? Maybe first said by the Latin poet Virgil. "Time Waits for No One"? Originally, it seems to have been "No Man", and possibly first said by the character of Death in the play Everyman. "Hurry Up Please It's Time"? Of course, T.S. Eliot, but then I realized it was time for me to stop this foolishness and find a couple of hours of songs about something that doesn't really exist. So...take the time to listen...this Tuesday.
