Join us this week for Mountain Stage with Larry Groce for a globe-spanning bill of artists perform the music of Mali, Wales and beyond. West Africa’s Tal National bring their danceable sound, as well as traditional Welsh group Calan. Jazz chart-toppers Ranky Tanky, Americana singer Shannon McNally, and alt-pop rocker Amy Rigby will also be there. 

This week on Folk Alley, in honor of Women's History Month, it's an encore broadcast of a show first heard in August 2017 featuring songs by artists who made NPR Music's 'Turning The Tables: The 150 Greatest Albums Made By Women' list. We spotlight our favorite folk, roots, and Americana artists who made the cut including: The Roches, Iris DeMent, Dixie Chicks, Alison Krauss & Union Station, Cassandra Wilson, Bonnie Raitt, Nina Simone, Buffy Sainte-Marie, Gillian Welch, Mavis Staples, Joan Baez, Bobbie Gentry, and much more.

Your Average Abalone, with host Johnny Bazzano, is an underwater adventure diving into the musical currents of folk, bluegrass, alternative country, singer songwriter, americana and more.  Johnny has hosted Your Average Abalone since KRCB first began broadcasting in 1994. 

Your Average Abalone airs on the 1st and 3rd Mondays of each month at 7:oo pm. 

Be sure to tune in to eTown this week for part one of a special two-part broadcast featuring the legendary singer/songwriter and Grateful Dead founding member Bob Weir, plus Americana artist John Fullbright. While we’ve been lucky to have both artists with us in previous years, this marks the first time we’ve been able to host Weir at eTown Hall’s intimate 200-seat, solar-powered performance space. Join us in eTown these next two weeks for a pair of episodes filled with mind-expanding musical exploration, candid conversations, and plenty of familiar songs to fill the air.  

Host Jorma Kaukonen introduces each show's featured artist in a series of concerts recorded at the Fur Peace Ranch guitar camp. An eclectic blend of performances including blues, folk, Americana, rock, bluegrass, and jazz. Featured artists include Chris Smither, Happy Traum, Hot Tuna, It's a Beautiful Day, Roy Book Binder, New Riders of the Purple Sage, Ruthie Foster, Bob Margolin, and many more.

This week - we hear the second set from Bill Kirchen and Jimmie Dale Gilmore in a duo performance recorded April 8, 2017 at the Fur Peace Ranch.
