Ani DiFranco

This week, eTown is back at Denver’s historic Paramount Theater for part two of our special broadcast featuring music and Civil Rights legend Mavis Staples, and one of America’s most independent female artists Ani DiFranco. We’ll pick up where we left off last week, with more great music and conversation with Mavis and Ani, plus a show-closing finale that’s sure to bend a few ears. Make sure to tune in!

It’s Pt. 1 of a special encore broadcast this week as we revisit our show at the historic Paramount Theater in downtown Denver from last year featuring two female artists that embody what it means to be strong and independent – the legendary Mavis Staples and singer/songwriter Ani DiFranco. Along with lots of great music and conversation with the artists, we will check in with Colorado Governor John Hickenlooper, and present the Lifetime eChievement Award honor to Mavis Staples for her decades of inspiration and contributions to the Civil Rights movement.

Here is what's coming up on World Cafe this week (June 26th - June 30th) - 2:00 pm Monday-Friday on KRCB-FM Radio 91!

Ti Amo explores “love, desire, lust and innocence” with the a romanticized flair of summer discos in Italy.
