Here is the WORLD CAFE schedule for this week and next:

Monday, April 9th – Best World Cafe Performances of 2018 So Far

Lizz Wright's soulful band knocked our socks off when they came in to perform live at World Café earlier this year. Nathaniel Rateliff and the Night Sweats brought tons of heart, Glen Hansard brought enough vocal prowess to blow the roof off, and Margo Price brought total tenderness. Hear standout sessions from the first quarter of 2018.

Tuesday, April 10th – Courtney Marie Andrews

Little Freddie King, Anders Osborne, Dr. Michael White & Music Maker Relief Foundation

On Margo Price’s first album, 2016’s Midwest Farmer’s Daughter, she shared incredibly personal stories of pawning her wedding ring, spending a weekend in jail and losing a child. On Friday's World Cafe, hear the next chapter - Margo reflects on how her life has changed since the wild success of her debut, and the more political stories that inspired her latest release All American Made.

You can hear World Cafe with host Talia Schlanger every weekday at 2:00 pm on KRCB-FM Radio 91!

In this week’s back-by-popular demand re-airing, eTown welcomes the incredibly gifted singer/songwriter and piano virtuoso Beth Hart to the solar-powered stage at eTown Hall. Plus our longtime friend John McEuen, iconic American musician and founding member of the beloved Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, returns to the show.

Here is the WORLD CAFE schedule for this week and next:

Monday, February 26th – Jen Cloher

Melbourne's Jen Cloher is finally enjoying international success. She stops by the World Cafe with her band, including her rock star wife, Courtney Barnett. After Jen and Courtney began dating, Courtney’s career exploded and Jen found herself at home alone in Australia. We’ll talk about how Jen moved through the inevitable jealousy, and hear music inspired by that experience.

Tuesday, February 27th – Darlingside

Brian Blauser/Mountain Stage

This week’s episode of Mountain Stage is hosted by songwriter Todd Burge. You’ll hear new music with an old feel from Pokey LaFarge, blues and soul singer Ruthie Foster, Canadian singer-songwriters Rose Cousins and Fred Eaglesmith, and Ohio’s RJ Cowdery.

They’re all in live performance, Saturday at 12:00 pm Noon on KRCB-FM Radio 91!

We hit the open road to hear tales of adventure and woe from honky-tonkers and hobos, train-hoppers and busking bohemians. En route we talk with Washington folk singer Brandi Carlile, who dropped out of high school to cut it as a touring musician, and New Orleans' Meschiya Lake, about her journey from circus performer to jazz chanteuse. Driving on in search of mythic America, we hear the voices of its discontents: Woody Guthrie, the Flying Burrito Brothers, Wilco and Pops Staples.

The 2018 Tiny Desk Contest is now open! You can now submit your video via the entry form on the NPR Music website. Entries will be accepted through March 25 at 11:59pm EST.

Tonight on Something Completely Different - it's "Something Completely Fashionable!"

I've heard some grumbling in the ranks, all about how too many Something Completely Different shows are too...well...quirky. Like people's first and last names. Like birds in the title. Like...like...dead people, for instance. What about concentrating more on singer-songwriters, on musicians, or musical instruments, even?
