This week, eTown welcomes legendary Grammy Award-winning country singer/songwriter Marty Stuart, along with his virtuosic band – The Fabulous Superlatives. Marty shares lots of music from his group’s latest release, Way Out West, as well as insightful conversation about his storied career as a recording artist, television personality and one time son-in-law to Johnny Cash.

This week’s episode of Mountain Stage with Larry Groce marks the show’s first trip to the steel city of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. You’ll hear a set from respected singers and songwriters Billy Bragg and Joe Henry, whose latest album celebrates the wide-open romance of the American railroad. You’ll also hear from acoustic folk-blues master Chris Smither, newcomer Kia Kater, atmospheric chamber folk from LAU, and Houston-based singer-songwriter Robert Ellis.

Hear Mountain Stage every Saturday at 12:00 pm noon on KRCB-FM Radio 91!

Our guest this week on Art of the Song is Dan Navarro. Dan started his career as a songwriter, most often with Eric Lowen, for artists as diverse as Pat Benatar (the Grammy-nominated “We Belong”), The Bangles, Jackson Browne, Keb’ Mo’, The Temptations, Dionne Warwick and many more. In the 1990s, Dan recorded and toured with Eric Lowen in the acclaimed acoustic duo Lowen & Navarro until Eric’s retirement in 2009. Dan has since transitioned into a growing solo career, increasingly in demand on the national concert circuit.

Tonight on Something Completely Different - it's "Something Completely Fashionable!"

I've heard some grumbling in the ranks, all about how too many Something Completely Different shows are too...well...quirky. Like people's first and last names. Like birds in the title. Like...like...dead people, for instance. What about concentrating more on singer-songwriters, on musicians, or musical instruments, even?
