Twenty four years ago, "Mouthful, Sonoma County's Most Delicious Hour," broadcast its first episode from a tiny construction trailer turned studio with Steve Garner, host of KSRO's "Good Food Hour", as the inaugural guest. Over the intervening years, founder, host and producer Michele Anna Jordan has interviewed a vast array of guests, from local farmers earning a living on less than an acre of land to international luminaries, including Julia Child, Jacques Pepin, John Ash, and Alice Waters.
A Mouthful anniversary has always been a special occasion, with adventures that have included a show from a hot air balloon high above Sonoma County and an evening with late filmmaker Les Blank that included a screening of his "Garlic Is As Good As Ten Mothers" and a garlic feast in Healdsburg.
This year's 24th anniversary celebration was recorded live at Atwood Ranch during the Heritage Turkey Sunday Supper. Guests include chefs John Stewart, Rob Larman and Daniel Keegan, culinary maven Kathleen Thompson HIll, Julie Atwood, host of the event, and others.
Tune in Sunday evening at 6 to celebrate 24 years of Mouthful, Smart Talk About Food, Wine & Farming on KRCB FM Radio 91.
