Sonoma County Sifts Through Composting Proposals

For the past two and a half years, Sonoma County has been trucking roughly 80 tons of yard waste and other compostable materials to landfills in Mendocino, Napa and Marin Counties, at a cost of some $4 million per year. But the slow-moving process to establish a new composting operation for the county is now gearing up to choose a new site, as Bruce Robinson reports.
