Task Force Recommendations on Accountability

The need for better local law enforcement accountability has been a repeated theme in the protests that followed the shooting death of Andy Lopez.

  After 14 months, the Community and Local Law Enforcement Task Force convened by Sonoma County Supervisors has made public its varied policy recommendations. Today we conclude our 3-part series on their work with a look at the recommendations from the Law Enforcement Accountability subcommittee.

Before the Task Force recommendations are submitted to the Board of Supervisors next month, a public comment period is now open through the end of March. The link to do so is here.
