• The U.S. Department of Justice is threatening to subpoena California and several cities within it over sanctuary policies.

• Gov. Jerry Brown is expected to strike less of the "resistance" tone he took in last year's State of the State just four days after President Trump's inauguration. Instead, look for Brown to focus on climate change and the criminal justice system.

The city of Santa Rosa is joining the ranks of cities across the nation that are broadening civil rights for immigrants but don’t call it a sanctuary city. KRCB’s Tiffany Camhi reports the Santa Rosa City Council adopted a resolution last night declaring it an Indivisible City.
